This morning we explore the mysterious ruins of Beng Mealea, thought to be a blueprint for Angkor Wat,
not only the most interactive temple, with crumbling stone blocks acting as stairs to the temple’s man subterranean chambers, but it is also the most fun temple to explore. This nearly thousand-year-old temple covers several acres of jungle terrain and is made up of a handful of libraries and courtyard where you can experience a true Indiana Jones moment.

In the afternoon head East of Siem Reap on the northern edge of Tonle Sap lake lies the village of Kompong Khleang, where locals live on stilted houses rising up from the ground. Travel by traditional boat through this authentic village gives you the chance to observe the daily life up close, heading out to the vast expanse of Tonle Sap where you will appreciate the immensity of this fascinating waterway.

Private Tour of Beng Melea + Floating Villages
(guide, driver, boat & entrance fees)

Depart pre-dawn to Angkor Wat as the sun rises providing a silhouette of the temple’s uniquely shaped towers against a colored sky as the sun breaks over the horizon. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast at the hotel start your temple exploration of the UNESCO world heritage complex inside the stunning walled city of Angkor Thom with Gates, flanked by the stone statues of gods and demons, you find yourself in an ancient world of massive stone faces and evocatively striking temples. We'll take in the enigmatic Bayon, the mighty Baphoun Temple, Phimeanakas and the royal Palace enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

Next stop is Ta Prohm, easily the most atmospheric and a highlight for anyone visiting Angor, a haven for any photography enthusiasts. A temple where you will love to linger, swallowed by the jungle looks very much in the same state as when the French explorers stumbled upon it more than a century ago.

In front of the magnificent Angkor Wat is perfect for lunch or a break during your day trip to Temples, refresh you with fresh fruits juice and shakes, and savor some delicious Khmer, Asian or International dishes (own cost).

As you enter the main causeway of Angkor Wat and start the long walk to the main temple, feast your eyes on the sight of this imposing structure. Discover its many galleries, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water, carved bas-reliefs that tell the ancient Hindu legends of Ramayana and victorious Khmer battles. Climb to the holiest sanctuary at the summit of the temple, where you are rewarded with fantastic views across the entire complex and beyond.

The temple tour itinerary is flexible and may be adjusted by your local guide after consultation with you. Weather, festivals, your interests and energy levels all have a bearing on which temples to visit and in what order.

Please bring your Angkor Entry Pass and don’t forget to have your knees and shoulders covered at all times when visiting the temples.

Free morning to relax by your pool, explore the town of Siem Reap.

Room with daily breakfast

This morning you will be transferred to Battambang .

Battambang City is full of wonderful colonial-era and pre-colonial architecture as well as historic pagodas. And with the continuing development of Battambang's contemporary art scene, a walking district of sorts has developed amongst the picturesque streets, harboring chic little art spaces and cafes. A visit to theArt Deco central market can also give you a feel for Cambodian daily life.

Private transfer (no tour guide)

In the morning take your Tuk Tuk through winding streets in the countryside stopping to discover how traditional products, such as rice paper for spring rolls, dried banana snacks, rice wine, and bamboo sticky rice are produced, and of course sample all the delicious local flavours. Visit the pungent fish paste market, have a rest and enjoy fresh fruits and coconut at a local family home.

Continue to Wat Samrong Knong is quiet as it is well out of the way of the town and a memorial to the Khmer Rouge.

Time to visit southwest to explore Phnom Sampeau, a hill with limestone caves and panoramic views. Inside a cave on the mountain is a memorial to people killed by the Khmer Rouge. Then take a ride on the fabulous bamboo train, a great way to explore the rural areas around this friendly riverside town.

Battambang Tour (guide, Tuk –Tuk & entrance fee)

In the morning, take a 3.5 hours’ drive to Phnom Penh. En route, you will visit the mountain temples at Phnom Oudong with stupas containing the ashes of Buddha and ancient Khmer Kings and stop at a pottery-making village in Kampong Chhnang. Arrival Phnom Penh, check in and relax.

Known as the "Pearl of Asia" Phnom Penh was considered one of the loveliest French-built cities in Indochina in the 1920s. Imposingly located at the confluence of the Mekong, Bassac and Tonlé Sap rivers. This bustling city still retains a colonial feel with fine French architecture, wide boulevards and riverside promenade, boasting a heady mix of Restaurants and shops.

This evening perhaps indulge in a blind massage or take a leisurely walk along the riverside before sunset cocktails and dinner at the Foreign Correspondents Club or you may wish to take an evening stroll along the river front to see how the locals enjoy the cool night climate. This is a fun way to interact with the locals, but best beware of pickpockets or bag snatching in crowded situations.

There is a lot of poverty in Phnom Penh and with poverty comes desperation which leads to theft, so it is extremely important that you take care of your belongings. There is no need to feel unsafe because there is virtually zero violence, just opportunistic theft. Ladies, please ensure your bag has a thoroughly sturdy strap, which cannot be cut and is worn across the body. Men, please put your wallets in pockets that have a zip or button. Backpacks are great, but always wear them on both shoulders. We are sorry to have to be so strong in our warnings but your safety and wellbeing is very important to us.
